Domain Names
All of our hosting plans and web sites feature your own domain name.
This is where we publish your site. Your domain name is going to be your
URL. You will own your domain name. Our domain name is
technologyworksonline.com.
Here are a few tips for choosing a domain name:
Your domain name should be short and easy to remember.
Avoid long domain names. Use no special characters. Use no spaces.
Your domain name should describe your web site or business.
If your first choice for a domain name is already taken; try, try,
again! You select your domain name on the second page of our check out
process.
Your domain name is not permanent. We can register it for 1, 2 , 3 years
at a time; but, it will have to be renewed periodically. ($15.00 per
year) If you let your domain registration expire someone else may
register your name. Let us handle your domain registration and we will
inform you when it comes up for renewal. You choose the initial
registration period (1, 2 , 3 years) to register your domain name when
you check out on our buy now page. You can register more than one domain
and have them all point to the same web site. To protect yourself from
competitors using similar names. (yourname.com, yourname.biz,
yourname.net, yourname.us)
A domain name has two parts, the name and the extension. The extension
is the part to the right of the . (dot)
You may use any extension you want. No one is going to arrest you for
using .com on a non-commercial site; however, you should choose an
